The question of how to finance a course of pilot training has always been a concern of would-be aviators. For career-minded pilots, financing considerations are often the single largest obstacle to be overcome on the road to their commercial certification. The same is often true of our non-commercial students. Having the extra cash available to fund your ratings can be difficult. Having a loan will alleviate the concerns of not being able to finish your training due to lack of funds.
If you are interested in financing, let us know and we will assist you in determining the amount you will need. This could vary greatly depending on the aircraft in which you choose to train and the ratings which you choose to pursue.
Downtown Aviation acknowledges the importance of financial assistance by continually monitoring available programs to determine which are most appropriate for our students. We recommend that you consider using the Career Training Loan of SLM Financial for all or part of the funding required for your training. Since any student in a professional pilot course is usually seen by the lender to be training full-time (not working), a strong co-applicant (or two) with steady employment and a good credit history is required.
